Across a series of works, I have researched how data is integrated into textile works, using the specific methods of making and thinking to shape how data might be represented across physical mediums.
So far, I have explores these themes through traditional research methods, artistic process, and participatory workshops.
Currently, this work has included:

"Notes from Under the Temperature Blanket" by Eduardo Puerta, reflecting on our paper, "Stitching Meaning: Practices of Data Textile Creators"
We have work underway on data textiles, where we have surveyed creators about their practices in making fiber arts projects that represent information. We're creating an encoding schema for textiles and gathering insights into creators' data practices and discoveries through making.
We plan to create an archive for data textiles, where creators can show off their work, find resources, and get inspired.
